The Old Stable is a small, cosy holiday cottage for two, perfect for romantic holidays for couples wanting to take in the best of Cornwall.
Converted from the farm’s old stable, this holiday cottage has original exposed Cornish stonework and a character unique to these parts.
With all rooms on the ground floor, it is also ideal for those looking for an accessible place to stay.
We are happy to accept well behaved dogs, over 1 year of age, by arrangement. Please note that this cottage is not suitable for large breeds of dog.
Highchairs, bed guards and travel cots (please bring your own bedding) can be supplied by request at no extra charge.

The Lounge
You will enter the cottage through the porch and step into the lounge with a comfortable settee, flat screen television and VonHaus Electric flame stove heater and dining area.
Kitchen
The well-equipped kitchen area has a built-in oven with a ceramic hob, microwave, and refrigerator.

Walk through the door you’ll find yourself in the cosy double bedroom, with hotel quality, pocket sprung mattress and en-suite shower room which has a heated floor and a power shower.
Outside
Cartole is set in eight acres of grounds and although no longer a working farm we are bordered by beautiful Cornish farmland so sheep and cattle can often be found grazing just over the fence. Our grounds and field walk are ideal for exercising your dog or taking in the abundance of wildlife in our peaceful surroundings.
Children will love having the space to run around and let off steam and parents can relax, happy in the knowledge that the little ones are playing in a safe environment. We also have play equipment and garden games to ensure that there is something for everyone, whatever their age.
Parking is conveniently just outside the cottage and there are views of the garden from the windows.
